  • Day 1

Start your tour with a safety briefing at the jetty before you board the speedboat which takes you out onto the water. Leave Hulhumale lagoon and head to your first stop to view the amazing coral reef.

Your guide will brief you on tips on how to snorkel without causing damage to the coral and how to use snorkel equipment. You also get a mini marine-life lesson, so that you can put names to many of the colourful fish you see.

Then, travel to Kandu Oiy Giri Island. Here you have the chance to see the many stingrays and moray eels that come to feast on the fish scraps thrown back into the water by the local tuna fish processing plant.

Later, head to a sandbank where you have time to swim and snorkel more, or just relax on the beach. Enjoy a traditional Maldivian tea accompanied with fresh coconut, sweet and savoury delights.

End of the tour, head back to Hulhumale, where you can catch a ferry to return to Malé or a taxi to your Hulhumale guesthouse.
